《Unit5 Do you want to watch a game show?》教学设计

一.Teaching objects

(一)Knowledge objects are to:1.study the key vocabulary.

2. make Ss know how to use the target language.

3. do some speaking and listening exercises.

(二)Ability objects include:1.developing Ss’listening and speaking skills

2.training Ss’ability of working in pairs.

3.improving Ss’ability of communication by learning the useful structures

(三)Moral objects are to enable Ss to:1.share their preferenccs with others

2. talk about their daily life.

一. Teaching key points

1.Key words: comedy、action movie、cartoon、educational、meaningless、serious、enjoyable、wonderful、exciting、relaxing、boring.

2.Useful structures:want to do,like to do

3.Target language:what do you think of...

John wants to watch... Mary likes to watch...

I like to watch talk shows. They’re more enjoyable.

I don’t really like those kinds of TV shows. I think they’re boring.

三.Teaching difficulties

Talk about preferences and make plans with the target language.

四.Teaching procedures

Step1. Greeting and warming in (5minutes)

Greet Ss as usual.Then make a self introduction.Lead in to the four pieces of movies. Play some pieces of videos related to the new words.

Step2. Presentation (8minutes)

Firstly,Play the videos of the four kinds of movies and teach the new words.

Then,show some ppts to introduce the news words of TV shows.

Then,ask Ss :“What do you want to watch?Why?”Guide Ss to answer.

At last,I’ll create a situation here and let Ss work in pairs and practise the useful structures for several times.

Step3. Listening (8minutes)

Play the tape recorder for the first time, let Ss finish 1b.

Play the tape recorder for the second time,let Ss complete 1c.

Play the tape recorder for the third time,fill in the blanks.

Step4. Group work (8minutes)

Divide Ss into several groups and guide Ss to make a short report as 1d.

Step5.Exercise (3minutes)

Some exercise related to this lesson will be given to Ss.

Step6. Summary (2minutes)

I’ll lead Ss to summarize what we’ve learned today,such as the key words,useful structures and target language.

Step7. Homework (2minutes)

In the end,I’ll design some homework to help Ss absorb the contents we’ve learned.
